Nutmeg Community Celebrates Volunteers Achievements

Now in its second year, our annual Volunteer Awards Evening will be taking place on December the 10th at Hendon Town Hall.

This exclusive event, will be an opportunity to recognize and reward exceptional volunteers. We will have the attendance of special guests from Barnet Council and Hendon Rotary Club. We will be awarding an exceptional volunteer from each of our volunteer’s schemes: The Youth Action Team, Nutmeg Community Reporters and Peer Mentors.

The evening will also see the announcement of our Nutmeg Young Journalist Competition winner. These budding journalists will receive a brand new Kindle Fire, an excellent tool for young writers, which we hope will aid our winners in the first steps of their careers. We would like to thank Hendon Rotary Club for their kind support of this initiative.

We are also very excited to announce The Nutmeg Young Leader Award. The Young Leader Award will recognize the work of an outstanding volunteer, whose participation in our schemes has benefited the wider community, inspired other young people and has embodied the spirit of active citizenship.

This event would not be taking place without those who have supported us over the past year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank: The Barnet Group, The Tudor Trust, Trusthouse, Big Lottery, Locality, The Metropolitan Police and Hendon Rotary club.
